Pophood™ is a new brand of rainwear with an award winning 'stay-up' hood.  The hood has a flexible frame, rather like an Alice band, that has been manufactured inside its front seam to keep the hood held up firmly above and around your face so that your hair and face are better protected from the weather.

How does it work?

The slim Pophood™ frame is curved to give more above your face as well as good visibility at either side. The unique shape of the frame also helps the hood from blowing back in the wind and rain.

 

 

 

 

You just pull the hood up as normal and secure it with velcro™ fastenings on each side of the collar. When it stops raining just undo the velcro™ and reposition the hood in a lowered position or let it fall loosely against your back.  Afterwards the hood can be fully detached and curled up to store in a matching storage bag.        

        

The Pophood™ gets its name from the pop up and curl away feature of the plastic frame.  'POP it up...POP it back....POP it away'

A new alternative to using an umbrella.... 

Most hoods tend to blow back or have to be pulled in rather unattractively around your face with a drawstring, squashing  your hair and leaving your face uncovered.

Many people prefer to use umbrellas because standard hoods don’t really protect their face from the rain. But umbrellas have obvious drawbacks too as they leave you with only one hand free, and they can be very inconvenient e.g. when you want to carry things, use your mobile phone, walk along a crowded street or watch outdoor events.
